DIY Brow Serum

Quite a while ago I shared a brow growth serum.  It was a pretty common recipe that contained castor oil and rosemary oil.  Recently I’ve been trying lots of natural, over the counter products and one of them happened to be a brow serum.  I used it for a couple months and feel that it really helped fill in my brows after I had over plucked.  It was from Province & Apothecary and you can find it HERE.  Being the DIYer that I am, I had to find out what was in this new serum and of course, recreate it!  So, months later-here I am with a new and improved brow serum!

This brow serum contains more ingredients then the original but is so easy to make.  Two ingredients that have major hair growing power are Black Cumin Seed Oil and Cedarwood Essential Oil.  According to Dr. Axe, one of the most interesting black cumin seed oil benefits is its uncanny ability to help restore hair loss most likely due to it’s powerful antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.  When you strengthen hair follicles, strengthened roots are inevitable.  Cedarwood essential oil can stimulate the hair follicles and increase circulation to the scalp.  Used along with rosemary and lavender essential oils, hair growth was improved in 44% of people over time according to THIS study.

Please note that with natural ingredients, you must be consistent and sometimes it takes up to a minimum of 6 months before seeing results.  I will say that many people experience obvious hair growth within weeks of consistently using DIY serums.  I personally could tell a difference after a week.

You’ll need a roll-on bottle or a mascara bottle as well as a small funnel.  Because a roll-on bottle is so small, I did not measure the exact amount of oils I used.  I find it’s way better to make a visual recipe where you can see how much is needed.  Hope that works well for you!

I used equal parts of Castor Oil and Black Cumin Seed Oil, added the essential oils and then topped off the bottle with Vitamin E.  Super easy.

Apply directly to the brows in the evening after your skin care routine.  For best results, apply morning and night if you are able to wear the serum through out the day.

It only takes a couple swipes per brow.  Be very careful not to get this serum in your eyes.  It will sting.  Less is more!

Be sure to purchase your castor oil, black cumin seed oil and vitamin E oil at Mountain Rose Herbs.  These are the best quality oils and are sure to deliver results since they are pure and unadulterated.  Same goes with Cedarwood, Rosemary and Lavender essential oils.  Spark Naturals offers all 3 of these oils.  Use my coupon code JENNIRAINCLOUD and for a limited time only (end July 25 2017) receive 20% off!!!
